Road Trip – Day 17

I went to bed early last night after the great dinner Stephanie and Brent made. I think the long drives over the last two weeks were catching up with me. In any case, I waked around 4:30 am, did stuff on the computer and then took a quick shower and packed. I was trying not to wake anyone but Stephanie (and Joe the boxer) came out just as I had loaded the car. I was going to write a note but I was glad I got to say goodbye in person.

In a lot of ways, I dread the trip from her house to my house most of all. It’s around 7 hours depending on the bathroom stops. I think it is because I’ve traveled that road (I-75, Turnpike, I-95) so many times, it’s just monotonous. Add in the crazies on the road and the fact it rained on me from Ocala to Kissimmee, and I turn into a zombie. It was all I could do to stay awake.
