New Year’s Eve eve! I slept nine hours last night! Taking 150 mg of Lyrica might have had something to do with it.
Here at Casa Fred it’s been an ugh day. My energy level was down again but I did manage to clean the pool filter and patio. I even trimmed some growth around the west side of the house. It was getting to the point I couldn’t get past the shrubs to take the garbage to the curb. Maybe I should have let it grow.
I kept waiting to hear from Hollywood Chrysler Jeep. Finally I got a text from someone (they didn’t identify themselves). Here’s the text:
“Vehicle is fully diagnosed, for the check engine light we are replacing bank one nox sensor under vehicle warranty.
The right front low beam light bulb needs replacement, grand total including tax $397.78. Please let me know if you wish to proceed.”
There was no mention of the head rest nor the recall for software update. I texted back about that and whoever answered it was taken care of. Who knows. I count it a win if I can walk out of the jeep service area for less than a thousand dollars.
I had to take an Uber into the cancer center. When you reserve a time, they charge you a booking fee ($10). The price from my house to the hospital was $30.47 and with the tip it was $36.56.
The cost from the cancer center to my house was $23.98 and with the tip, it was $28.77 (no booking fee).
In any case, I arrived at the cancer center very early for a 2:15 pm appointment. Pat was my nurse again and it was good to catch up with her and her holiday. She pumped me full of saline and magnesium and it was a fairly quick process. I was back home by 5 pm.
It’ll get cold (for South Florida) tonight with a temperature predicted of 54°F. Brrrr! Hopefully, sometime tomorrow I’ll be able to go pick up my jeep. They still haven’t notified me it is ready and it’s 6:20 pm.
Stay tuned!
