Everything Fred -Part 171

Another miracle! I slept through the night except for one pee break with no back pain, no getting up to do stretches and no heating pad. I don’t think I even had night sweats. I clocked in with 6 hours of sleep. I even feel pretty good this morning. It’s about time.

I’ve never been a big believer in chiropractors but this guy seems to know what he’s doing and it has really helped my back. I asked my primary for a referral for an MRI (as suggested by the chiropractor) and the GP’s nurse called back saying he suggested physical therapy first. I asked if chiropractic manipulation counted as physical therapy. She didn’t know but said if I did want the MRI, I would have to schedule another appointment with my GP. I did. I don’t know how beneficial it will be but if there is any possibility of permanent nerve damage, perhaps it will show on the MRI.

Last night, John came over and we went to Georgia Pig for dinner. It’s a barbecue place that been going since the 1950’s when US 441 was a dirt road. They have a mustard based barbecue sauce and only in the last few years did the relatives of the original owners sell to three brothers who loved to eat there.

When we got there, the parking lot was deserted. Later we realized they were getting ready to close. We arrived around 6:30 and the close at 7. They didn’t hurry us and just as we were about to leave a group of firemen came in and put in an order. They even served them after hours.

The cancer center called me yesterday and asked if I could come in at 12:30 instead of 2:30. I quickly agreed. It’ll get me back home before the 5 pm traffic horror. Today is just a hydration infusion. It should only take a couple of hours.

This morning, the task is to clean the pool filter, patio deck and pool deck. If I have enough energy, I need to spray for weeds. With little to no back pain and a decent nights sleep, I might make it.

Stay tuned!
